Pandemonium Day Two

64 blocks completed today.  That takes me close to 40% of it quilted.  It will now be three days until I  get back to it.

This was the largest block for today before I quilted it.  Forgot to take a pic with my camera before I rolled it on.
If  I could work out how to get photos from my phone to the computer it would be handy.

This was the second largest block for today. It has 133 quilted circles on it,  Was even brave enough that I videoed myself with my  phone and posted it on my facebook page.

Day One Coffee Break

This quilt belongs to a long distance customer and I do not have an email address for her.  I have sent a message 6,700kms via the Quilters Bush Telegraph (she lives 1900kms away but this crow doesn't fly straight), that I will be putting photos of the progress of her quilt on my blog.  Hopefully she can enjoy the "Quilt Along".

Coffee Break on Day One, the threads are chosen and if you look closely you can see soap marks in the sashing.  I didn't realise there was a tree in the Hand Blanket stitch applique until I pulled it fully out of its bag this morning.

While measuring it and admiring the ladybugs a plan came together. It involved a bit of premarking before it gets on the frame, so the soap marks are it.  Which means I will be stitching the border areas first.  Since it is shouting a pretty loud story of how it wants to be quilted - I hope life doesn't get in the way of me getting on with it!

The piecer should be very pleased with her finished quilt.  These two pictures are of the same area of the quilt.  Sometimes we do work minor miracles,  I am proud of the fact that I was able to work on this beauty.

 

Travelling blocks

The eventual owners of these two blocks will be very pleased to know that they are completed.  One is going to join 29 other blocks from the United States and Japan to make a pretty 1930's quilt.  The other one will be winging its way to America to be adorned with applique during the "Baltimore on the Plains" Retreat.  Lucky Block  almost wish I was going, but I have the Australian Machine Quilting Festival in adelaide instead.
