I don't usually sleep in but after two weeks of being on holiday I slept until after 7am. Pity my husband and I start back at work on Monday (:
After a late breakfast I retired to the sewing room, organised the fabrics and patterns for classes for the second term of this year. Found some pink baby tops and fabrics I knew I had - my first granddaughter is due in May.
Then I looked at the clock, it was 1.15pm and I still haven't got out of my PJ's.
Well the sewing room is tidy for me to start on Monday so I have achieved something.
Now to eat lunch then shower!
Is a Longarm Machine Quilting Service for the Busy Quilter based in South East Queensland, Australia. I enjoy creatively quilting designs to enhance the piecing and fabric within a quilt. I have been piecing quilt tops since 2001, machine quilting them since 2004 and a longarm quilter since 2008. I have recently been recognised with numerous Quilt Show awards, both nationally and internationally, for both my piecing and quilting.

No Quilting Today
Well I have tried to put two quilts on the frame this morning.
The first one I only had to quilt the borders for a customer but the steam and starch haven't shrunk it back to flat. That extra 1" or so on the outside does not want to get any smaller. So back to the csutomer it goes.
I can't quilt out everything!!!!
The second quilt, I rolled the backing on pulled out the wadding and it has been used for a lap quilt previously. There is not enough for me to even join it to make enough for this large single quilt.
I give up. Today I will finish off some class projects and notes!

Bargello's with Toowoomba Quilters
On Saturday some of the quilters from Toowoomba learnt how to draft, design and sew their own Bargello Quilt top. They also learnt that it is easier to make one without twists or crossovers for their first try!
Here are two of the tops that I had sewn as samples. Not quilted as I need some tops to practise what I learn at Houston on!
