This is part of a Rita Verocca pattern that my customer started ina class with her last year. She has completed it for a challenge with the LQS. It cried out for feathers, but she didn' t want them.
Is a Longarm Machine Quilting Service for the Busy Quilter based in South East Queensland, Australia. I enjoy creatively quilting designs to enhance the piecing and fabric within a quilt. I have been piecing quilt tops since 2001, machine quilting them since 2004 and a longarm quilter since 2008. 25 Shades of Purple Quilting Retreat
My local quilt store held a quilting retreat over the weekend with 25 shades of purple as the theme. I succeeded in wearing 25 shades by myself judging by today's washing.
1 pair of slippers
2 pairs of shoes
1 pair of leggings
2 pairs of bedsocks
1 pair of day socks
2 hats
1 pair of gloves
3 scarves
1 handkerchief
1 evening gown
1 long sleeved t-shirt
1 3/4 sleeved t-shirt
1 button up shirt
1 singlet
3 pairs of undies
1 jacket.
1 cardigan
1 pair of pyjamas
Not to forget my husband cooked us purple crust Pizzas and HE was wearing purple undies too.
Fun weekend was had by all a bit of sewing accomplished, lots of yummies eaten, sadly it ended with one of our ladies falling and an ambulance being called for a broken hip. This wasn't during the belly dance class!

Grandmother's Flower Garden
There ate 50 of these smaller flowers in the smallest border. 7 per row in the body of the quilt. It is only 91"x105". Think I will be a bit longer on the machine.

Its OK to sit on my Quilt
I just read via Facebook, that Mary Ellen Hopkins has died. The quilting world has lost a pioneer.
It will always be OK to sit on my quilts!

25 Shades of Purple Feathers
I am attending a retreat at the end of July, in which participants have been asked to make 25 half square triangle blocks. Purple on one half, seeded muslin on the other side and then decorate the muslin side.
These are finished size 6" blocks. The feathers are drawn with various Hybrid Gel Roller Pens.
Still to sign them... but mine are complete.

Gennivieve has arrived
I have dragged the box into my kitchen emptied out all the goodies of thread samples that came with her. I have taken all the bits and pieces out of the box and now .......there she will sit for 10 hours until my husband gets home from work :(
I do not have the strength to lift her out of the box.
Plus I have many many other things to catch up on.
Piecing a top for a class sample,
Quilting two quick overalls for a customer,
Still have a load of washing in the machine and another to be done before being caught up,then the ironing starts!
